In a strategic move to adapt to changing market conditions, Proud Pie in Katy, Texas has made the decision to close its Cinco Ranch storefront and transition to a wholesale business model. The company will now supply pies to restaurants, with the help of Dish Society, a local restaurant group.

Proud Pie owner Scott Chapman revealed that revenue had dropped by more than 50 percent in the past two years, prompting the closure of the storefront on South Mason Road near Westheimer Parkway.

The collaboration will initially see Proud Pie’s creations available at the La Centerra at Cinco Ranch location. Proud Pie’s pastry chef, Michelle, has joined Dish Society to train their culinary team in baking pies the Proud Pie way. Customers can expect slices to be available for purchase starting July 30th at 10 a.m., with whole pies available for pre-order online.
